Police again, presently, being a policeman in the south East is worse that being a soldier in the sambisa forest. When will this fight between police and okada riders end in Lagos? Instead of LASG to focus on providing decent and affordable housing units to the people, they want to ban okada that provides means of livelihood to hundreds of thousands of citizens. Lagos should be a city of skyscrapers like New York, Hong Kong, or Shanghai if they want want to decongest the city. This will solve many housing needs.

We are already commercial nerve centre of the biggest economy in Africa. It's demotion you are praying for us and we reject it. We are even on a "For A Greater Lagos" campaign not a smaller Lagos. What most of you can't get through legitimate power want to get through online subterfuge. Kolewek. What you are doing is the lazy part, to build your village into a Lagos should be your priority. Don't be like HE Atiku whose village has no light for 25 years but promising to give others light.

It boils down to the fact that Nigerians have zero respect for police officers due to many years of unchecked abuses.

I totally endorse your comment, 100%
Except your view about Buhari.
He has never been good, and he doesn't pretend to be good.

Let's not rejoice at this insane act of targeting police stations and state actors. This is how full anarchy begins. Check statistics of failed states. Nigeria is a ticking time bomb and all men of goodwill must put hands on deck to prevent any unforeseen but bad consequences from happening.

Police may have their own stupidity but let's not be indifferent and support any form of attack on them. It would surely get to all of us. I get pissed off when I see some folks here cheering and being happy after each attack on police and their outposts. If police goes down, all of us goes down.

If anarchy is allowed to set in in this country, what's is happening in Somalia and Afghanistan will be a child's play and those ignorant people happy about the anarchy may not be spared. They will be begging for peace to return. This penchant for burning police station started after the Endsars incident.

There are large army of unemployed youths in this country and they look for any slightest opportunity to burn the country as they do not see any future in it. For them, they are already down and would want to bring many down with them.

Those in the East will tell you how far their lives have become. Everybody rushing home before 7pm, including those happy with the attacks. Insecurity creates panic and affects quality of life of everyone.

If this attack starts in Lagos, then the country is in for a disaster. Thousands of youths are idle and looking for opportunity to vent their anger on police and state's agents. As it is, government can't fight multiple battles at many front. But sadly, this government nepotism and its tendency has created room for disenchantment and disconnections among its citizen.

Nigerians have never being this dis united since 1966.

Apt!

However, hardly would you get to see men of goodwill occupying major positions in power/ having influence.

Even if they attempt to make things work, will those on the side of crisis support it?

This has been debunked so many times even by the US government.
Soldiers killed many people, yet we haven't been able to identify even one of them.

EndSars is the first "civil" group in Nigeria to openly instigate and celebrate burning of stations and violence
on security officers.
They even threatened more violence if their demands weren't met.

Since then criminals have gained extra confidence that burning police stations carries no risk.

Skyscrapers aren't cheap. Your "hundreds of thousands of citizens" can't afford them.
If you mean the government should build and give them out freely, at whose expense?
Skyscrapers didn't even solve the New York homeless problem. Tens of thousands are on the street.
