After sponsorship 233 Yobe indigenes to study medical and engineering courses in India, Gov. Mai Mala Buni has approved scholarship for another 32 indigenes to study Qur’an and Arabic Language at Al Azhar University, Cairo.

As sponsored by Gov. Mai Mala Buni administration in 2020, the beneficiaries are currently studying Petroleum Engineering, operation theatre, renal dialysis, medicine, anesthesia ,cardiac technology, pharmacy, others at Indian University.

Do you need to go abroad to study religion? What is the benefit of Arabic and Islam to Northern Nigeria other than terrorism and fanatism? They'll come back and indoctrinate the poor and gullible illiterate to remain resolute in their religious slavery while their children go to the west to study and live normal lives... Doing the same thing repeatedly and expect different result is the definition of stupidity!
Religious fanatism that has tied us down to this point as a country, watered down our humanity, corrupted our social values and above all made the bulk of is place emotions above logic resulting into living 19th century in 21st century and unfortunately, we've not discovered where we got it wrong!
The the European and Americans are unveiling the next civilization before our very eyes while we are yet to understand the ones that has become obsolete in these nation's, what a shame? Unfortunately, we are still sleeping into the future with this type of people leading us.
We need to wake up to realize placing religion where it belongs and be open to development.

Later in time they will be leaders ruling with Arabic/Qur'an certificates , all will be insighting terrorism like oga pata pata did . While so many with NYSC And high school certs embark on eself employments.

There is a reason why Africa is backward, this is it. Sending kids to another country, just to learn another man's language is pure foolishness. When will people pay money to learn Fulani, Hausa, Yoruba, Edo, Igbo and so on? Anyways, even the governor is more foolish than the people he's leading.
