Will Osun Pensioners Live In Anguish Forever In Governor Oyetola's Hand? by Jimsonjaat96(m): 11:47pm On May 26, 2021
In the recent past, whenever things are under disarray in Osun State with the government, the victims used to run to the traditional leaders to salvage the situation. I recall the statesmanly roles of the late Ooni of Ife Oba Okunade Sijuade of blessed memory when Oyinlola was Governor. Sometimes ago, the pensioners in Osun State ran to the Father of Governor Gboyega Oyetola to plead with the old man to help them beg his Son so that the government can settle their piled up pension debts. To the chagrin and consternation of observers, Oyetola did not take it lightly. Mr Governor was furious why those he maltreated and still maltreating could grow the effrontery to report him to his aged Dad. Till date, the situation has not changed. For some days now, the Osun State contributory pensioners' representatives have been in Abuja to cry on radio and television so that Oyetola can attend to their plight. They featured on berekete radio and television programs yesterday where the Governor's Spokesman Ismail Omipidan was joined too.

My worry is that does Oyetola need to be begged and appeased before he will fairly apply government resources under his care for the good of the people?

Again as Oyetola always pick quarrel with those who seek those who can help them talk to him on their plights, is there ever going to be a way out? If pensioners need to contribute money out of their lack to send their representatives to Abuja just to beg Oyetola, it means the Mr Governor has no tangible person he respect anywhere in Osun State who can reign on him.

Who can Oyetola listen to in Osun State? What is the roles of the clergy and traditional leaders in Osun State? Osun State is losing it, this embarrassment is not what we should be proud of. No other state Governor in Nigeria is having his people begging on the radio before salary and pension is being paid. Oyetola, do what you have to do before the whole time is spent Sir. Gomina e se iyi te maa se tori ojo n lo.

I wish the pensioners who traveled to Abuja to report Governor Gboyega Oyetola safe journey back to Osun State.
