But need I tell you that promotion in our armed forces is most ridiculed by nepotism, bigotry and to a deeper extend tribalism. Guy, if you know how promotion is done now, you'll weep for our current crop of armed forces especially since Buhari came to power.

When was the last time we experienced this sort of mass exodus from our military like we have witnessed for the past 5years?

I have friends and relatives in the armed forces. Good friends that we would rather sleep together whenever we meet than stay apart. In fact it's an offense.

Even our churches and mosques are mosques are not spared this endemic corruption so you dont expect the armed forces to be saintly.the truth is that appointment of coas and service chiefs usually result in mass exodus.obj retired over 60 generals in 1999 to appoint gen malu.the thing is that between 1999-2011,there was little social media awareness.the main means of info dissemination was newspapers,govt TV and radio.we hardly followed up this events and didn't bother.it was from 2012 that the advancement if ICT made people to be politically aware.whatever is being done by buhari had been done much worst by previous regimes.we exclaim about how kano gave buhari 1.9 mill in 2015 but forget that rivers gave obj 2 mil in 2003

So if they appoint another junior person for navy, they will retire across board, then air-force another retirement across board.

Thats a lot of waste.
