Well Jack got instructions from Washington DC to make it easy for the Nigerian government to reverse it's ban on Twitter without putting themselves in a position where they'd be an international laughing stock. Yea the pressure is too much on the government, they can't afford to lose these top countries as allies and on the other hand they've got some pride to protect, so it's also very important to pretend they didn't yield to these pressures from their western bosses

So you can see the Twitter + Whitehouse game. Twitter casually reaches out to FG with nothing tangible to discuss actually. Just to give FG some cover to hide the shame while the ban is reversed. Then later FG can lie about an agreement that was signed, new regulations, blah blah blah. Americans will always be 100 steps ahead

Why?

Abeg how many Nigerians are on Twitter and how many do not even know of it? Which of our major problem does Twitter solve?

It's two ways you know? I could also ask you what major problem having the banning of twitter solved?
Twitter is not Nigerian problem and it had never been. The problem are those Nigerians with inferiority complex, believe anything Western is bigger than our country/Buhari. I'm in no way a Buhari supporter but i don't also don't like people saying "Twitter is bigger than Nigeria" .

OneTemplate:

When Buhari said Nigerian youths are lazy, he did not lie or malign our youths wrongly. They want to die over Twitter ban yet convening siege on the NASS to enforce constitution review, that will impact their lives positively, is not a priority for them.

This is where you made pointless assumptions or you're purposely being ignorant.

Is it not the same "Lazy" youth that protested against bad governance and SARs Brutality last year? What did we get in return? Killing of youths because they wanted better, they wanted a prosperous Nigeria.
Now since they don't want us to protest, Twitter is the biggest place we can voice our discomforts and keep the government in check but they still went ahead to BAN Twitter. What does that tells you? That's DICTATORSHIP IN A DEMOCRATIC STATE!!!

This is not about America. It is about a Private company with a sovereign Nation. You obviously don't know about sovereign country space policy so just sit and look while they go into dialogue to lift the ban so we can enjoy the platform again for those of us who uses it for positive purpose. Regulations will definitely be put in place and if they can't comply they won't be able to operate in Nigeria. USA also did same to Tik Tok, WeChat and set up some security review. Don't just come online to type whatever u like because it's freedom of speech era without proper understanding of how things are done.

Twitter was banned because of the suspension of president Buhari's twitter handle which marked the peak of Jack Donkey madness. And that was even long before anyone thought of protests on June 12th. You guys are confused.

Sincerely speaking, Twitter is losing some millions of dollars through this TwitterBan. Nigeria is the Twitter's largest market in Africa. We are using VPN to access Twitter but Twitter cannot earn any money from our visit, all the advertisements on TwitterNG are close. You know Americans don't joke with money.
