ALL I SEE ON THIS THREAD ARE EXCUSES.

IGBOS KEEP BANGING ON ABOUT HOW BRILLIANT AND SMART THEY ARE.

WHEN YOU ASK THEM ''WHY IS ONITSHA NOT DEVELOPED LIKE LAGOS?'' THEY START SAYING, ''BUT YOU PEOPLE PLUS LEBANESE DID NOT INVEST IN OUR LAND!''

OH BUT I THOUGHT YOU SAID YOU WERE BETTER AND RICHER AND SMARTER THAN EVERYONE?

WHY DO YOU NEED 'AFONJA', 'FULANI', LEBANESE INVESTMENTS BEFORE YOU CAN PROSPER?

THEN THEY SAY ,''OH BUT LAGOS IS RANKED THE WORST CITY IN THE UNIVERSE!''

OH SO WHAT ARE MILLIONS OF IGBOS DOING IN THE WORST CITY IN THE UNIVERSE WHEN THEY COULD BE BUILDING A PARADISE IN ONITSHA?

THEN THEY START TO ABUSE AND THROW INSULTS.

THEN I LEAVE, SHAKING MY HEAD AT THE ATTENTION-SEEKING, DEPENDENT NARCISSISTS.

Everything in onitsha today is owned by igbos. We have been developing every part of igbo land since 1970. The onitsha you see today is because of the hardwork of igbos. There is no federal government owned property in onitsha except the army Barack. Just shut your mouth.

Majority of the projetcs have ZERO federal input. From urban rail networks, to world class bus terminals, to BRT systems, to entire new metropolises like Eko Atlantic.

If Lagos can do all this stuff without seceding from Nigeria, why can't OnItsha?

Why can't Onitsha build an 'Eko Atantic' of the East?

If all the money spent by IPOB in its dumb agitation was used for attracting major investments to the East, by now the entire East would have been a construction site.

Lagos did not transform itself.

- Lagos was the first FCT, leading to early infrastructures, and attracting the earliest investors in Nigeria.

- This also attracted a huge population, which serves as a ready market for almost any product or service.

- These continue to work in favour of Lagos, giving it a huge IGR compared to other states in Nigeria that didn't have the privilege of being an FTC before.

- Many investors don't want to leave the Lagos market, even if their HQ is in Abuja.

Though I appreciate pst Lagos leaders for their efforts, we should also know that there is no mystery to Lagos economic status in Nigeria.

Plus:
Don't fool yourself. Lagos will secede from Nigeria with Yoruba nation.

Eko oni b'aje.
Oodua a gbe'wa oo.

Lagos is not the first FCT in Nigeria. The first FCT in Nigeria is Calabar.

One major problem the SouthEast has to solve first is revenue collection. A lot of business men in the SouthEast are either not declaring their actual businesses and evading tax or the ones collected don't get to the government coffers. NBS statistics keep showing us these facts.
If all the businesses in the SouthEast are dutifully paying taxes and the governments are sincerely and judiciously using it, it'll only be a matter of time before development spreads across the entire SE.

That why the Igbo Businessmen is Lagos are also the least paying taxes here. Most of Lagos revenues come from corporate taxes and PAYE of employees that have been registered. Others are from businesses that have declared and market levies and dues.

Until Igbo Businessmen see the need to pay tax duly, their governments will keep telling them their states are in God's hands or God's state while lavishing the allocation from Abuja on their selfish desires.
There's a limit to what self-help can achieve. The business of governance needs to be taken seriously in the SouthEast

This fool, so you are actually satisfied with the level of development in that dilapidated glorified village called Lagos? Ross Ike, but you live in London, travel around Europe and you are seeing how cities look like in Europe and other places, yet the gigantic slum called Lagos is what you are wishing Biafrans? Sorry, take your slum, we need no such low-level development. We need our nation called Biafra first, then our money will be on our hands and we will be making our decisions by ourselves regarding what kind of infrastructures we want to build.

Your contraption called nigeria is drawing us back and arresting our development. We can no longer afford to live with illiterates that their education qualifications must have to be subsidized in the name of catching up. We can no longer live in a place where stark illiterates will be ruling and making decisions that will affect our lives. We can't afford to waste further time under a military constitution that has no room for rapid development. Carry your big for nothing slum call nigeria and go, Biafra must stand to enable us to reach our developmental goals.

You did not disprove those who claimed Nigeria is a basket of fools. Lagos was a capital of Nigeria and received unimaginable parks from federal government of Nigeria. Onitsha has never been either capital of Nigeria, Region or State. There was no part of Lagos torched during Nigeria/Biafra war. In order hand, the dingbats from Yoruba, Hausa, Fulani, Kanuri, Nupe, Tiv, Birom etc called it a matter of duty to burn down Onitsha in 1968.

It has nothing to do with foolishness it is illiteracy and stupidity. It is very funny when all the major tribes in the country are fighting for cities which are the last in the world. This is why Nigeria is illiterate paradise people fight for the best but Nigerians fight for the last. Just look at it here the Yoruba Igbo and hausa fighting for cities which are no where. Illiteracy can mess up somebody's brain.

Lagos was developed over many years with Niger delta oil money. While ports were built in Lagos with this same oil money by successive governments, Onitsha was ignored and starved of the slightest federal investment. What anyone will see in Onitsha today is the hard work and ingenuity of the Igbo man.

This is an attempt to sow seeds of discord between Igbos and their Yoruba brothers. Your antic is dead on arrival as these two great nations can longer be divided by you fulani wannabe manipulators.
