Rest in Peace Kenneth Kaunda. Kenneth Kuanda of Zambia along with Julius Nyerere of Tanzania & Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe where the Lead Countries in Africa to fight against Apartied Regime in South Africa.

Kenneth Kaunda, a great man.

Just earlier this year I remember searching for great legends who shaped history across all sectors that were still alive. When I came across his name I was like wow this man is still alive but I guessed he was close and mentally bookmarked to be aware when his watch ends.

Well, here we are today. Didnt even know it was going to be that close.

African independence fighters and you have got Kenneth Kaounda, Julius Nyerere, Nkwameh Nkrumah, Patrice Lumumba, and Mandela. These are persons who left records and carved a name for themselves across the continent. I listened to his speech during Mandela's funeral. He was still bold, strong and courageous as ever. RIP Legend

Patrice's death still pains me till date cry

In the mid 90s while in the University, I was inspired reading Zambia Shall be Free. May the good Lord grant that perpetual light continue to shine upon your soul in that beautiful city beyond the shores of time.

It is really funny to see people praising KK here on this site...when by the end of his regime, he was a pariah, and people were ready to vote him out...and his attempt to come back into power also failed.

He was a nationalist, yes...but like most nationalists, eventually became a sit tight dictator, and a poor leader.
