DTSG Committed To Community Development - Ukah

The Delta State Government has reiterated it's commitment to the development of communities across the 25 Local Government Areas of the state.

This was stated today by the Secretary to the Delta State Government, (SSG) Chief Patrick Ukah, in his office during a courtesy visit by delegates from Ogbeowele Community, Ibusa, in Oshimili North Local Government Area.

The SSG said the Okowa administration has embarked on various development projects in Ibusa community including the establishment of the Odugba Primary School, among other ongoing projects.

Chief Ukah noted that the establishment of the school was in line with the state government's vision in ensuring that every child of school age gets quality education in a conducive environment.

He equally noted that the request for a school in the community was quite critical and fundamental and that was why the state government gave the approval for the establishment of the school.

The SSG disclosed that the school will commence academic activities officially this September and that government will do everything possible to actualize that.

Chief Ukah further said that 'we have seen in the past six years what the Governor has done. A lot has happened and will still happen in the next two years because the Governor has promised that his administration will keep working till it's last day in government in order to achieve the vision of the Stronger Delta Agenda".

Chief Austin Megwai, who led the delegation, said that the purpose of the visit was to appreciate the efforts of the state Governor, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, in establishing the Odugba Primary School in Ibusa.

He expressed gratitude to the state government for the timely intervention which addressed the deplorable condition in which the children in the community had been receiving classes.
