If we were to imagine that Sanwu-olu decides to defect to PDP, would be cool to say PDP is now in charge of Lagos? Superficially, yes, but truthfully No!
This is the case with Umahi of Ebonyi and Ayade of Cross River states. Those two states remain PDP states. In fact, as it stands both Ayade and Umahi are political orphans. If Akpabio with his 'warsaw' force could fail in Akwa-Ibom, both Umahi and Ayade are just political feather weights. APC gained just political appointees of these governors and nothing more.
Lets examine Zamfara state. PDP never really won Zamfara, but for Supreme Court,. Just like Imo state. They were just "borrowed robes".
The real owners are APC and PDP, respectively. For Mattawale, he may altogether lose his office if PDP pursue his case. APC had no candidate in Zamfara under the law, hence his defection may turn roud to hunt him.

The case of Akpabio is different and doesn't in any way relate to Ayade and Umahi.

In Nigeria politics,the governors to a large extent influences the direction of the votes. Akpabio lost simply because the governor is the arrow Head in most cases,and Udom worked against him.

Imo state was PDP's before Rochas came and twisted the direction to Apga,and repeated it at APC.

Same with Oshiomoleh,Edo was PDP's , Oshiomoleh won it for AC,then APC.
