The exposé by Reno Omokri is nothing but a reaffirmation of what we have always said : Those Ika who are more Bini than the Oba are actually Benin slaves from time immemorial, even before the real slavery began by the nasty Europeans.
They became totally acculturated and mentally subjugated by the Bini that when they were freed to return to Igbo land some stayed back in Bini while the others who left remained loyal to their Bini slave masters by retaining the imposed Bini names.
To the extent that even their kings retain obeisance to the Oba even after being set free! How incredible!
