BENINOISE authorities yesterday handed over the alleged car robbery kingpin, Ahmadu Tidjani, to their Nigerian security officials in line with the agreement signed by both countries last month to jointly fight transborder banditry.

A mass of curious Beninoise gathered to jubilate in the capital Cotonou as a convoy of Nigerian operatives took off with the wanted Tidjani.

He later died in Nigerian prison 10 years later with serious health problems.

If you believe Benin Republic will disagree with Nigeria on Sunday Igboho you might be joking.

He might be jailed in either Benin Republic or Nigeria depending on what Nigerian government wants.

Sooner or later, he might find himself back in Nigeria when tension and pressure from his supporters settles.

What Nigeria needs to do is to just close the border and tell them to hand over Igboho as a condition and that is all.

Benin Republic is playing along..

Igboho would be extradited to Nigeria.

Why should Benin prison officials put Igboho on shackles if they are in support of him?

If both countries could agreed to extradite Tijani who was a citizen of Benin Republic and died in Nigerian prison, who is Sunday Igboho? His own will not be an exemption

I witness it in 2003, Tafa Balogun was the IG then, the Nigerian Police entered Benin Republic and brought the man to Nigeria.

The question is where is The Extradition Treaty signed by Nigeria and Benin govt?

Even Benin govt said there is no extradition treaty signed by both countries.
In the earlier report, They were debating weather to release him or furthermore put him in prison.

Why do you think igboho lawyers are confident?
Guy, except if Benin govt intervene by collecting something in exchange of Igboho extradition, Igboho will be freed.

If border is not opened since 2015 Sunday Igboho is now a good opportunity for Benin Republic. He will be used for negotiation.

Hahaha, this is how the cookie crumbles. You're now forming Rambo abi? The same Nigeria that can't stop rag-tag bandits and all manner of terrorism is the one you're referring to?

Since you closed the border with Benin, have their economy collapsed? You should rather be more concerned about Mosad invading Nigeria than your fantasies.
