Another training session for the boys today in a match that could have ended by at least 10 good goals. Neymar Jr. Just decided to excuse himself from the score sheet today by playfully giving the ball to the keeper from the spot.

But then you can't expect anything too big and clever from a guy like Dani Alves. I always thought he was a sandwich short of a picnic and a bit of a loose cannon. When he spoke to the press he tried to come across as a funnyman, but all he managed to do with his comments and lack of respect was permanently damage the reputation of his club, because his own personal reputation couldn't get any worse. It's simply wrong to go on that kind of tirade after a marvellous victory that was highly rated by everyone around the world, even by opposition supporters, who gave Andrés Iniesta an ovation when he was substituted after his magisterial performance. This is something that Alves will never enjoy himself, because there isn't a stadium in Spain where he's earned any fans with the kind of tricks he gets up to. Someone at Barça, either in the head office or in the dressing room, needs to put him in his place, well if there is a place in football for people as irresponsible and disrespectful as he is.

Caution is the most important thing now. As a matter of fact, I'm kind of surprised we're hitting form at this particular time. This is not a proper time for the squad to hit form. There's a time when important matches begin to come around . And it is not now!

The critical thing now is to be able to manage it well. There's also the matter of attending club world cup in Japan soon. No one can really predict how the squad would respond after that exhausting journey. And that is when important things really begins. We must remember the spectacular collapse of Madrid after their CWC last year and their impressive run of form prior to that competition, were forgotten.

And add this to the fact that no one can really predict how long it would take these new players coming in January to adapt. Of course we expect them to hit ground running but it doesn't always work out that way. We have to provide for that!
