Reading the comments on this thread, there is so much bitterness over the fact that the girl was released by people who think that the whole Boko thing was used to remove their side from power.

There is also some gloating in a way from pro-government side people.

As for me, the tragedy that is the North East was allowed to happen by both the APC and the PDP governments that precceded it. Both of them are responsible for the poor handling of Boko haram, and the poor handling of the economy in general that led to groups like Boko haram coming about.

As for me, I am happy that one of the thousands of ladies kidnapped by Boko...because the Chibok and dapchi cases were the ones we heard about...there are so many others we never got to hear, have been freed. May God heal her of her pain and her hurt.

The local and state governments of this country as well as Abuja have to have ideas to fix Nigeria's youth problem.

In the Liberia and Sierra leone wars, as in many wars a cross africa, when they ended there were thousands of boys and in some instances girls who took part in many of the armed groups....and by extension the brutal killings of the war.(They were as bad as Boko...rape, murder, etc)

Want to know what was done for them...Well, they were rehabilitated (partly by the UN,) and given money and a radio at the end of the thing. And yes, a lot of people objected to that and were annoyed.

In wars like this, you have to rehabilitate the population afterwards. Killing them and massacring them would only create more bitterness and rancor that a future islamist group would use to their advantage. And it would end up like Boko Haram part 2, worse than Boko one.. You won't want that, you know.

But enough of that...since then, Boko has continued to be a threat, and the North now has the very severe banditry issue. And Nigerians want solutions, not a crap fight with PDP supporters over whose Mercedes is bigger in size.

It is nice the Chibok girls are now coming back, but it should not be a cause for celebration. It should be a time for reflection over failures, and a desire to do better for the interest of this nation.
