Protest is ongoing right now at the PDP headquarters Abuja in favor of the suspended Chairman Uche Secondus. Aggrieved supporters can be heard chanting various songs including naming of a perceived enemy of the party.

It is most definite that Secondus and his sympathizers in the party won't go down without a fight and this may cause deeper crisis.

PDP should should have just allowed Secondus to finish it's term by December rather than generating problems that may further diminish the party and even provide a good ground for defection for those that are thinking about defecting to the APC as they will easily site division of the party at the national level.

It bound to happen even away from Secondus group, the deputy has dissolved the NWC but it's not holding any effect as the NWC had held meeting already fixing NEC for Friday. There's more to come in the next few days.

Lol ... Secondus should stop embarrassing the party by engaging paid protesters and accept the decision of the court in good fate.

They even agreed and shifted to October rather than December so that the convention can then hold. With the way things is going, they may have themselves to blame

But looking at it, he could have been allowed to ease out of the system without the party risking this implosion staring them at their faces.

The sack by the court was more like the staff of Moses and the finger of God. If you think it wasn't the act of the main masquerade behind Secondus ordeal, then you might have a closer look.

I honestly think so too. Even OBJ could only watch helplessly.

OBJ said he's retired back then but can only give his advice. There need to be an assemblage of party to come together and give APC a good fight come 2023.

What's happening to PDP is not good for our democracy. One wish a fusion of stronger party can emerge so we don't fall into one party affair at the end.

Hmmm, indeed...but what then do you propose?
We are drifting towards one party system. This is dangerous for a country like Nigeria that don't learn from mistakes. One party is like an AK47 in the hand of a raving mad man in the market. Imagine what he can do with that.

PDP members and it supporters are all rogue set of people. INEC should just de lists pdp as a party.

As far as the whole parties are concerned, they're all the same. But are we going to find an Angel to float a new party for us in Nigeria?

Someone said one party system for Nigeria is deadly and I wholly support so too. We can't allow only one party to take affairs. Now that there's still opposition, imagine the kind of strangulations we are having in the governance. I am not sure you're enjoying the show except you're not a Nigerian or you live outside the country.

And if they're delisted you think any of these APGA, Labour etc can mount any stronger opposition? Well of course if the rest parties can all abort their ego and merge. The two bigger parties are well in the same boat, bros! No one is different.

Well said and on point.
If we can only think first before the party matters and reason our existence, it would've been better. Masses are the one in the bakery, while the political juggernauts are the one sampling the taste of the products ie eating the national cake at will!

I seriously agreed with you. October is very close and they could not wait till the said October. Very bad of then.

So close. And the man and the party could have been saved the blushes. Now many court cases will be springing up more than they can manage. With the unfolding event, you will wonder how their convention will hold now that the deputy chairman is also flexing his power and the NWC has dared him to do his worst.

It's a long episode still to come really.

Wike thinks he owns PDP. He has forgotten there are PDP henchmen from across the country who're also propping up Uche Secondus, to reduce his (Wike's) power.

But if you were the one, duly elected into office, would you have quit when you have not done anything to warrant your shameful exit few months to your tenure termination? Just be candid?

Wike is holding tight to that Man neck with his teeth. He knew how to bite hard like a GS. To me, I think Wike is smarter than him, or how can you not know that your ward could be used against you, like what happened in Edo state against Oshiomole in his ward. Please fear Naija politics.

I detest desperate politicians. Secondus should take a bow honorably. All these drama make him look silly. Man presided over the weakest ever opposition in the history of this nation and is still fighting to remain there for what?.

I'm sure we haven't seen the end of the saga. The program is just starting. He or his proxies would go to Court certainly.

He appears too soft for that position or should one rather say he found himself at the time when he was supposed to be more daring to against the ruling party.
