I remember serving as a ghost corps member in Ikom cross rivers, I went for my verification after six months and my LGI advised me against sleeping in the family because they thought I had already relocated but i was a bit broke at that time to afford a quality hotel so I checked into one local hotel and to my dismay the rooms were filled up because it was few days to Their election.

So the Okada rider told me he can take me to an affordable hotel , i enquired about the price and he said 1k for a night, I played it down because It was almost impossible to get a hotel for 1k so I declined his offer, he insisted it was cool and moreover it was late and some hours it will be dawn .

I reluctantly followed him to the hotel and behold , it was like an abandoned building, i met people smoking and drinking outside, so he stepped down and approached a certain man he later identified as the manager of the hotel,He came back to tell me he had helped me book the room but I declined and told him there was no way I was ever going to pass the night there .he tried to talk me into staying but I vehemently declined and insisted he returned me back to where he carried me .


To cut the long story short, he took me back and I had to find my way back to the family house. It wasn’t really easy for me because it was late and I missed my way severally before I could locate the house.The corp members finally knew I never relocated but ghosted my service but it was far better than be used as special meat.

We both left the next day, we still keep in touch tho and still manage to fix match once in a while where we fvck our brains out

The worst hotel experience I had was in a hotel in Ibadan.
I went to attend an update course.
Decent hotel and everything. As I was spending a week there, I was given a discount from 15k to 12k per night.

I switched on the heater for the shower.

Everything was fine till I got under the shower and touched the shower knob. I received the worst Electric shock of my life. It was so intense that I almost passed out.

I ran out of the bathroom, wore my clothes and stormed to the receptionist.

As it turned out, they had done some electrical repairs that morning and the electrician hadn’t done the earth wiring correctly. See begging. They changed my room immediately, refunded my bill for that day, and did a further discount for my remaining days.

Remember going for ndlea exams in Kano...got there late so I took the only Keke in sight to the nearest hotel, got to a location Called sabon gari, Omo the first impression of the place was wow my perception of the state was absolutely wrong cos Omo everywhere dy jaye jaye... I tried to make sense of it and I arranged it again before going out to get something to eat.... The room was not bad. N4,500 a night.

I just finished from NYSC camp in Obubra. And I had the most difficult journey to Calabar.

The hotel was in Calabar South.
I was very hungry and needed something to eat. Receptionist, a nice young babe offered to help me get food. Foolish Me, I accepted the offer.

She brought one packed white rice and stew with meat. I ate this food.

The kind of intense diarrhea I had in the night. I woke up several times to the sound of loud banging, I even thought people were fighting. Coupled with the insane mosquitoes that bit me.

In my life, that has to be the worse night ever.

Arrived ilorin at 10pm, called bike to take me to the nearest lodge since I was new to the city, Arrived & walked inside, No receptionist, no gateman, nobody on site, music was playing, gate was wide opened. Got tired of waiting and went outside, met two guys I passed earlier chilling by the roadside, Asked them for the nearest available guest house. They said it was far but they had a room available in their house which was actually opposite the lodge. Paid and went upstairs only for it to dawn on me that it's all this short time arrangement stuffs. Bed was big, room was neat but I still later found 3 condoms including one stuck inside a hole in the bathroom wall. The guy was even asking me codedly if I wanted anything else. Was too tired to decode then. I sha slept with one eye open. Woke up early only to find out it was one of those old extra large pre-colonial houses, mostly empty & semi abandoned, nobody in sight again? but the gate was locked. Most of the rooms I peeked into were empty. Shuu! This place was convoluted & dark, I can't go wandering all over na, Later found the key where they hanged it, opened the gate & japa! Definitely sure those guys were either squatters/gatemen, whether they planned it with the lodge guys is what I don't know.

While running a job for Ondo state gov, they booked us into a hotel in the posh area of akure.

On getting to the room, I wanted to lie down and light some sticky icky. I lifted the duvet up to lie down, I saw blood strains. God, I hate the sight of blood, I Wanted to puke.

Seems like someone's got cut while having sex or her menstruation blood got splattered around that area.
That wasn't even my problem.

My problem was the hotel staff's, didn't they see it when they came for routine cleaning after someone has left the room?
They said maybe the cleaner didn't see it.
That means he didn't even change the duvet.

I requested for a new room, they said they're all booked out.

I had to sleep on the couch in the room and used my clothes to cover myself.

I unfortunately went to this hotel around Abule Egba in Lagos and paid #5000 for the night only to find out that the Gen wasn't working around 10 pm when it was supposed to be on. That was not even the problem. In my whole life , I have never seen a place with so much mosquitoes and rat. I am not kidding ooo. Despite using insecticide before entering the room , It was just too much.

Me and the babe went to stay outside till day break and we couldn't do anything. Till today, i still have not stopped apologizing to her..

The worst hotel experience I had was in Jos,I cant even remember the name of the hotel.I had travelled in company of my two sisters and their kids for our cousins wedding.

After the wedding we could not go back to Kaduna that day because of so much complain about insecurity and too much trouble on the route.We decided to lodged in a hotel.Thank God we all took just one room since the rooms were very big with so much space.

I have a habit of moving a furniture to block the door of any hotel I lodge in,this hotel was not an exception.Around 2am a male hotel staff opened the door and tried to push the door open.The weight of the furniture behind the door woke us up ,I jumped up with one of my sisters and started screaming.He apologized and said he did not know the room was allocated.

That was how we did not close our eyes again until morning ,we packed our luggage and ran.
