What are d challenges of working for a younger boss and how can you manage it? *a neighbour i know just couldn't imagine it and started showing some resistance and superior airs, now he is having SERIOUS problems at the workplace.
Any tips to help him cope with his work situation?

there is no problem in working under some one thats younger than you, if the person is knowledgable , has leadership qualities and most of all COMPETENT, you can share ideas and views about how to make the work place co-habitable for easy work flow

the worst scenerio is when you have to work under someone you know you are far more competent than, that is where the real problem is 

There is nothing to handle. it is always tough here where we are so fixated on age.
the important thing is to respect oneself and the other party will automatically accord you same.
Obey office rules and protocol, show yourself to be competent, do not argue unnecessarily or try to "show yourself'.
turn yourself into a dependable and reliable ally and the sky will be the limit.
I had of a colleague who was to work under an expat lady who was way younger than him. they just couldn't get along ( they both had their individual egos and other issues). he was transferred and another lady was sent to her who was also older. they got on swimmingly to the point where the boss was recommending her for raises, trainings, showing her everything and when she had to leave she actually recommended her subordinate for promotion to her position! So wisdom is the principal thing

Handle him/her with dignity and a lot of professionalism
1.keep all dealings professional-respect is reciprocal-give it & u receive it
2.Use English language always ( there is 'they' for him/her in other languages as sign of unofficial respect)
3.Do not look down at him or her cos of younger age (u could be in his/her shoes if given same opportunity)
and finally-if u can't handle the heat-LEAVE the kitchen and resign.
