I have become very annoyed with a lot of the foolishness coming out of Nigeria and its not as if i didn't grow up knowing what to expect from my country, i just believed that we would at least be able to carry ourselves with dignity when we are outside our shores, So the Nigerian Embassy in Ottawa , Canada has not issued out any new passport to Nigerians living in Canada for over two years now,,2 freaking years, so what exactly are they doing there?
first the passport making machine broke down, OK then second they ordered a new machine but cant get anyone to hook it up, then third they said oh we can do nothing till the elections in Nigeria is over, now for those who do not understand the consequence of this let me explain, i for one missed out on very important events both in Nigeria and other parts pf the world because my passport application is with the embassy and even after paying over 1thousand dollars am not even sure if they still have my application , its been over 2years since i applied, alot of Nigerians with missing passports cant get any Government issued id over here let alone travel, then there are those that are waiting for Canadian papers that cant get it because they cant get new Nigerian passports, its a bigggg shame for a country like Nigeria to have an embassy in Canada that is basically just occupying space and doing nothing, come to work at 10 go to break at 11 come back at 12 close at 1, just wonderful, if any of you know anyone that can effect any change please contact them because i am tired of making excuses for my country to Canadian Immigration. Have you tried contacting the Ministry of foreign affairs(that's if they have a website with contacts) and Immigration service to intimate them of this development?
