There is a saying in akwa ibom "once you meet any pot hole on the road as you are travelling eastwards from akwa ibom, know that you are in south east."

Most federal roads down East are death traps......from Awka to Enugu has been cut off completely.....I'm tired of this country

This road is so deplorable that one speed 2 hours from umuahia to lkot ekpene instead of fourty five minutes at most. May God save us from bad governance

This happened opposite Ndume Otuka secondary school, along this so-called ikot Ekpene road.

Due to the poor state of the road, I stayed away from Keke-napep and boarded a bus.

As the driver was moving, swerving through the swampy pool that has become the road.

Then it happened. I watched as the Keke in front slowly tilted to one side, and in a second, it got submerged, both driver and passengers, drank a mouthful, and I happened to witness it all from my front seat.

The occupants, two big boys, and ajebutter girl. They all crawled out from the Keke, covered in mud as people gather to witness the situation.

Thanks to some able-bodied men, the Keke was dragged out, but the day have been ruined.

Imagine one that starched his shirt, and the other was draining water from his bag. Documents ruined.

Ikpeazu is yet to finish Abia state...

Very familiar with this road as the LGA was my PPA during nysc....From ndoro down to Ariam, this raod is a total mess wayback 2015 and it's same condition till now...smh


Maybe they will repair it when I see my grandchildren....

This is one of the reasons why restructure Nigeria would lead to better development for Nigerians.
In a restructured Nigeria, the FGN would have no business with road construction.
The governments of Akwa ibom and Abịa States would be responsible for the construction of the roads linking their 2 States.
And if they fail the people can hold them accountable, after all government house is not far, unlike Aso rock.
