Because it's the turn of the south it is no longer constitutional and we may end up with two useless candidates. When it was Buhari and Atiku in 2019 did the south complain? And we ended up with Buhari is the worst president in history.

I totally disagree with Mr. Sanusi that Nigeria needs a President that can deliver. I disagree with him because what Nigeria needs now is disintegration of the country into its ethnic nationalities. I find it very disconcerting that Mr. Sanusi even after acknowledging that after 60 years, the country still could not get its acts together and yet he's advocating for ONENESS of the country. Nigeria is a failed society and could NEVER be salvaged if we truly want to be honest with ourselves. Like the saying goes, "A fool at 40 is a fool forever." The country has been a fool for 61 years and would remain a fool for ever. So, to STOP the bleeding and save lives, NIGERIA must be dissolved into its disparate entities.

Zoning is just a way of creating a political balance for Our diverse nature as country.
States with diverse ethnicity that has adopted the zoning system tends to gain more political peace compared to other states without such..
A good example is Edo and Niger.
Tribalism is never their basis of voting and these two states adopts zoning system.
Now compare that to Kogi and Benue.
Where igbra has personal rivalry with igala and would continue to vote ediots in power so long his opponent is from the other tribe, same with Benue.
From my political experience, zoning is a very good system to create a balance in Our political hemisphere

Zoning was removed by the south under GEJ obviously it hasn’t brought any good candidates. So Sanusi has said the truth(which Nigerians don’t like hearing). SHOW US GOOD CANDIDATES LET US CHOOSE.

If not they should do what they like and we in private sector will continue to do what we like.

All Nigerian politicians are useless

Is he saying if the Presidency should be zoned to the South, that the South does not have what it takes to organise themselves and produce a candidate who will correct the rubbish created by this present administration? Why is it that when it come to politicking the north always feels, they know it all? The north are supposed to be ashame and beg for Nigerians to forgive them for bringing someone who gave us (Nigerians) a bloody nose that we don't even knkw how to recover from it.

I don't think there will ever be someone useless like the one we have there presently.

What has making it open, produced this far? For now, it's the reasonable thing to do for fairness to other parts in Nigeria. We are not there yet to leave it open. Till then, the best thing we could do as a nation for fairness to other regional parts is to regionalised it.
