...charges them on continuous support for Governor Udom Emmanuel

As part of her commitment and in the spirit of the 34th anniversary of state creation, the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Glory Edet has celebrated with stakeholders drawn from across the eleven wards of Ini LGA.

The event which aimed at encouraging the stakeholders to be steadfast in their support for Governor Udom Emmanuel was held on Sunday, October 3, at Ikpe Ikot Nkon, Ini.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Glory Edet cited the appointment of sons and daughters of Ini into positions of authority, rice processing mill, road construction, etc. which have been attracted to the area as part of the reasons they should continue supporting the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel.

The Ini MPM Coordinator urged them to take advantage of the ongoing INEC registration exercise to equip themselves ahead of the 2023 elections.

She enjoined the participants to embrace the ideals of the MPM by continuing to give peace a chance in the area so as to allow development thrive.

In his response, Honourable Etetim Anwatim, a former Council Chairman of Ini, appreciated the Governor for making Ini a beneficiary of his infrastructural revolution in the state and appreciated the Honourable Commissioner for the passion she exudes in the discharge of her duties and pledged to continue supporting the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel

Others who also spoke were Honourable Marcus Akpan, Vice Chairman of Ini LGC, Honourable Okon Asuquo (Political Shark), Honourable Lawrence Udoide, Special Assistant to the Governor on Inter-Party, Honourable Raphael, Councillor Ward 4, Apostle Ukata Akpan, Supervisor, representative of women stakeholders, Obongawan Ogbonaya, chief Effiong Udofia, etc.

Also in attendance were, Councillors, Supervisors, Governor ‘s appointees, clergymen and a host of others.

A vote of thanks by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Ini Ikie brought the colourful event to a close.

The stakeholders were thereafter treated to a sumptuous buffet and all went home smiling.
