Suspected Islamist group, Boko Haram, tonight struck again by assassinating the younger brother of Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abba Kyari Umar Garbai . The Shehu's younger brother , Alhaji Abba Anas, was killed around 9:00 PM Nigerian time in Gangamari ward area of Maiduguri. Said to be in his 30s, Abba was formerly a banker but recently changed career and joined the Nigerian paramilitary group, Civil Defence Corps, as as a supervisor. sad too see the nigerian states total and complete inability to fight a CONSTANT war on terror. There should be policy changes, beefing up of (or at least starting to take it serious) of military and police forces, increased intel (why nigeria doesn't have an FBI like agency after terrorism literally cut it's oil production by over 60% and has made it impossible to have a large gathering or election is beyond me) i think nigerians have the part of your brain that realizes a threat to your life missing. |

Until the day a governor, minister, senator etc is killed, the government will not do what they should have done ages ago. If something like that happens, I can bet that in one year, Boko Haram will be erased from Nigeria. After such, you will begin to wonder what took them so long. Why wait till the cancer affects the whole body before you deal with the lump? |

I think the only goodnews here is that now that BokoHaram is attacking even emirs and traditional rulers in the North, may be we can finally generate enough will to deal decisively with this terrorist organisation. Tribal sentiments is why terrorist organisations like these last beyond their time.
