From the recent voter registration exercise, Nigeria has 70 million registered voters. If we take the statistic that is been thrown around, that 60% of the population is above 16 years, we can infer that is about equal to the registered voters. I know that you have to be 18 years and older to be registered to vote, but there where report of large numbers of underage voters. Furthermore, for the purpose of this discussion assume that the voter registration was over 100%. So if 60% above 16 years is 70 million, then the true population of Nigeria, should be at best 118 million give or take a few millions. |

You failed to include the 'escapees', 'students', 'drug dealers' our greatest human exports, and others. give or take 10 million. |
