And yet they say Buhari is incompetent. Simple task, submit data. They can't. At the end of the day it is to blame Buhari for what he knows nothing about or something that doesn't concern him.
Don't run your mouth quickly without verifying it yourself. The lecturer can not be so stupid to send 6000 naira for someone as salary. IPPIS can never be trusted. I am a civil servant. I am not a lecturer but since the time IPPIS was introduced, among all my mates, our salary seize to be uniform. And the deduction is hell. Almost every month you must notice deduction in your salary. When we complained to our board, they said the problem is from IPPIS. They showed us what they prepared from their own computer before sending it to IPPIS and it has no issue. IPPIS is a trap to enslave civil servants. The objective of introducing IPPIS has been defeated by currupt and greedy people. Stop blaming the lecturers. IPPIS need to be investigated

But this same set of people go dey wail about been paid 6k... Issokay

Interesting how they had enough data to pay them 6K…including transferring money to their accounts. But that data is now mysteriously insufficient to pay them their full salary.

Nigerians are gullible lots sha.

Bless you!

jubrilELsudan:
THESE LECTURERS REFUSED TO SUBMIT THEIR DATA BECAUSE MOST OF THEM ARE ENROLLED ON THE PAYROLL OF SEVERAL UNIVERSITIES. THEY COLLECT SALARIES FROM MULTIPLE UNIVERSITIES CAUSE THEY ARE EMPLOYED THERE IS THE RESIDENT LECTURERS........BUT WHAT THEY NOW DO IS THEY THEN OUTSOURCE THOSE POSITIONS TO OTHER LECTURERS......MEANING THEY GET THOSE MULTIPLE JOBS THEN EMPLOY LECTURERS UNDER THEM WHO THEN HANDLE THOSE POSITIONS.

THEY KNOW THAT ONCE THEY SUBMIT THEIR DATA FOR ALL THOSE MULTIPLE POSITIONS IN THE DIFFERENT UNIVERSITIES WHICH THEY HOLD,. THEIR FRAUD WOULD BE FOUND OUT.

AKWUZU SARS FALL INSIDE THEIR ANUS.

So why wouldn’t the lecturers in your scenario submit the data for their primary universities ? Which lecturer would not at least secure the salary for his primary employment ?
Re: IPPIS: Why Some Lecturers Are Getting N6000 Salary – Accountant General by sematec(m): 11:53pm On Oct 17, 2021
Is there data is wrong even with late submission, there is no justification of paying them N6000. Rather they could have requested for a valid data. Which data was used for 6k payment?
Now, IPPS want to let us know that they have been paid knowing fully well that their their data is not complete.
How can a sane mind do this kind of a thing?
Some people have just been shortchanged.
Lecturers affected should head to court immediately
IPPS need to be disciplined

The same system that has a lot of fraudulent registrations and people are collecting salaries and remitting percentages to the perpetrators within the Accountant General's office.

Seeing Buharists hopping like locust in joy with this kind of stupid defense is funny.

You mean late submission of data made the IPPIS system sees lecturers as labourers who only did daily pay work in 4 days out of a full month?

Or incomplete data showed a senior lecture is entitled to a mason's one and a half days daily pay?

Does this not suggest that IPPIS is flawed? If wrong or incomplete data is submitted, the system should not pay out a kobo at all. Why pay N6000?

Secondly, IPPIS takes percentages of the total emolument for deductions rather than percentages of the basic salary as prescribed by law. For example, the National Housing Fund deduction should be 2.5% of the worker's basic salary, but IPPIS deducts 2.5% of gross pay; At least for the ASUU members. I do not know if it applies to other MDAs.

ethicallyright:
The output of a country's public service is dependent on the quality of its directors.

The progress of a country's technological hub relies on the dexterity of its inventors.

The revenue of a country's primary production sector correlates with the number of literates.

The quality of a country's health service depends the training of the doctors.

Doctors , directors , inventors and all professionals need tutors to develop their maximum capabilities.

At advanced level , we often call it "Human Capital Development" instead of education. Human beings are more worthy than whatever resource that is extracted from land or sea.

Nigeria is behind because it is yet to develop sufficient human capital to push the country forward.

These mistakes do not occur in the payment system of National Assembly Members which makes objective analysts like me conclude that education isn't the priority of Nigerian leaders grin and this makes the future dim

I am very sure u didn't read the report at all. As usual.

The so called lecturers are afraid of submitting their datas due to the fact that they have been shortchanging the government.

A senior lecturer will input in his/her data that he/she os an associate professor, an associate professor will claim to be a professor.

NB: I'm not exemplifying the government of any blame.

What I mean is that the system of rules and compliance policies including sound and effective control processes and disciplinary actions which must be strictltly adhered to by office holders in all tiers of govt/institute must setup

Bros, let us set jokes apart, how on earth do you think a senior Lecturer will claim to be an associate Prof.? Let us just think for a moment!
The lecturers did not forward the information to IPPIS by themselves, the bursar's office of the Universities did and before the bursar's office did, they correlated the information with their original payroll, then how come the Lecturer is to be blamed of any error.
It is very clear that IPPIS is only trying to justify their ineptitude knowing fully well that the populace are ill-informed about the issue on ground! It is not only ASUU that is complaining, medical doctors are complaining, oil workers are shouting, etc

How come everyone is complaining about IPPIS. Lecturers are complaining abt IPPIS, Resident doctors are complaining abt IPPIS. Shouldn't that show the problem being IPPIS itself. Nigerian government trying to be cunning here

I've since come to the realisation that the higher your creativity at being a crook is the better your chances of holding key positions in this regime. IPPIS is simply another creative means to loot from the masses, and this time doctors and lecturers are their prime targets.

The falsification is from the bursar and some of the lecturers. That is they work hand in hand to swindle the government.

This whole write up is a trash from the pit of hell, people forgot so soon, one of reason ASUU went on strike, is rejection of ippis, so why update of their data on something they rejected and you force them into. Government should do the needful, put utas into test and let our education system function as it should.
