Lol.. I know the car you saw for N1.9m. It's a 118i and it has a 1.6L turbocharged engine which is actually small for a real enhusiast. It's in the same level as a MB A-class.

If the seller were in Lagos, I may have bought it as second car.

BMW'S are not difficult to maintain. Get a BMW engineer to service it and throw in the right parts at the right time then you have no issues.

As a BMW owner, I'll tell you for free; the experience of owning and driving a BMW is not comparable to any Japanese out there.

That's not true....am using the 3rd BMW...just get a very reliable mechanic and if u r in Lagos...do as I do.. I designate a day...take my car to ladipo...all issues LL be resolved,serviced that I might not need any major maintenance for at least 8 months just minors like service engine,change Tyre occasion tye rod bla bla

Please do you know a good mechanic in Ladipo that can handle newer bms like 2010 to 2020?

My guy most of the comments above are personal opinions and not based on facts. I'm a proud owner of BMW 2014 model. BMW car parts are unbelievably cheap compared to Japanese car parts.
Fuel consumption ? You honestly have no problem. Do you know that complete engine of 2014 model of BMW E46 is currently #110.000.00 ? How much is tiny light Camry engine. I strongly recommend BMW car for you. All parts are available with good mechanics.

I have two Bimmer, 3seriesa and an X5, I can never driver a Japanese car. I have good mechanics that handle my cars. He was asking a Japanese mechanic about a Bimmer, he will offcourse discourage you because he will not be working on your car again. Look for a very good Bimmer mechanic and you will get the righ advise. Drive a Bimmer and you will never go back to any Japanese again.

BMWs only. Easy to maintain once you know how to take care of it. You don't feel safe sitting in a Japanese once you get used to BMWs

Haven't changed mechanic in 7 years. Everytime somebody else touched any of them, trouble.
