If SouthEast is not of utmost importance to Nigeria, why are Northern lawmakers ready to fight anyone that would move motion for Nigeria's separation in NASS. I think Malami on behalf of FG doesn't want peace to reign in Nigeria from the way he's making baseless and unsubstantiated claims against Kanu and IPOB. He who alleges, proves. With genuine, sincere and just reason, Kanu will reconsider and opt for restructuring or true Federalism as an alternative to Biafra. He is not heart-hardened or malleable not to see reasons because of his people's huge and massive investments in the North. Peace is so underrated in our clime but crisis won't augur well for Nigeria because no country progresses in the midst of anarchy and disarray. 4 Likes 1 Share

The answer to this question is of twofold: One: To Northern elites, who cash out big from present Nigeria's arrangement, successful secession of any part of the South means the dried up of their source of income. That's why the elites opposed secessionists vehemently. Two: To average Northerner, ANY NON-MUSLIM, especially a Southerner, and MOST ESPECIALLY an IGBO person is automatically an ETERNAL ENEMY. The irony of it is that, Northerners hate Igbos, but they don't want them to have their own country, the Biafra. BUT WHY? Hypocrisy and envy! Deep down into their evil hearts they know that if South, or any part of it, manage to successful full out of this contraption called Nigeria it would develop faster than the present status quo. And they are envious of this. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Take it or leave it Nnamdi Kanu has attained God-like status in the North, they dread that man even more than the bandits and BH terrorists that are depopulating them... I've been told by several people residing in the North that even the illiterate Hausas and Almajiri's on the streets with their transistor radios are always tuned in to any reports about Kanu on BBC Hausa... that's how much they are obsessed with that man. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Okwyjesus: What igbo commercial strength? Everything the igbos does commercially, the hausa man does that too in thousand fold. The northern history is all about trading, if you think the igbos have commercial strength then i doubt if you know anything. The igbo commercial strength starts and end in lagos, go to the north and check if they can compete with the hausa traders who also deal with spare parts, cars, clothes, transport, gold, etc. Lagos revenue is only high because of the different ethnic groups and businesses there, without that it can not survive, lagos is lucky because it is close to the sea which allows for trading. The north can and will always survive without the south, they have been doing that before. |

The last thing an average Yoruba or Fulani man wants to see is Nigerias breakup, they believe they are done for and will perish if it happens. If Igbos leave Niger delta will follow blood is thicker than Water, nobody truly loves the North we are just being forced together.. 3 Likes |
