One: To Northern elites, who cash out big from present Nigeria's arrangement, successful secession of any part of the South means the dried up of their source of income. That's why the elites opposed secessionists vehemently.


Two: To average Northerner, ANY NON-MUSLIM, especially a Southerner, and MOST ESPECIALLY an IGBO person is automatically an ETERNAL ENEMY.
