Sanusi might be a good banker, knows all bankers’ tricks but definitely he is not an economist. He doesn’t have at all. He could be a financial inspector, this is the maximum for him but not a CBN governor. it is 158 today, my mallam told me it has never come to 157 by the way I called Mr. Ibrahim, who PAYLESS gave us his phone, he said 159 and doesnt operate in Ikeja |

I think 158 is very good price putting in mind the circumstances. The CBN price is around 152s while the interbank rate is 154s – 155 today . The USD came down mainly because of the new regulations of selling 50 million bi-weekly through 5 banks. Also the rate of dollar selling today was less as we are heading to Eid Elfitri holiday. I just hope that the price wont jump again after EID Elfitri holiday. Let it mentain around 156s 157s or 158s. Please God, Ameen |
