True @freepeople. Intercourse rather predisposes to UTI. But her problem may not be due to UTI. She might have had endometritis, salpingitis etc.  Not that I know of any literature claiming that marital intercourse is a cure for any of those either. .  BUT the doctor might have been cheeky and not really believe the virginity story (rightly or wrongly) BUT thinks that marriage/commitment might limit the number of intercourse partners. Fact is the more the bedpartners the more the risk of PID.
You never know what he was thinking.
Like I said in previous post, he might have given a simplistic but not very scientific explanation. Not all doctors can communicate effectively with non-medics. Hence the focus on doctor-patient communication in UK med schools these days.

I am not a doctor or anywhere close to the medical proffesion. I'm already confused with all the medical stuff tht has gone b4 , but from what I can deduce, the girl is either lying or the doctor doesnt know wat he is talking about. When the guy said he started having sex at the age 6, I didnt doubt him, cos that was about the age I started too. At least my elder sister told me she caught me redhanded on my sixth year birthday behind the door with one of our neigbour`s daughter then, who however later in future became my girlfriend in my first year in the university b4 she finally travelled to the UK. And I also remember alot of such silly incidents all through my childhood, so I no doubt the guy at all. Infact, as a child, I was always having erection with or without any sexual thought or sight.
But as for the girl saying that the doctor adviced her to get marry on time to avoid bacterial infection, its a pure lie. Infact its a format she cooked up to hook the guy to early marriage. Guy, be wise.
