The Enugu State Governor elect, Barr. Sullivan Chime has been reputed as one of the best among his dudes. In the outgoing dispensation, his administration recorded numerous meaningful achievements that cut across the boundaries of the State. No wonder, he was massively voted into victory in his re-election bid. However, it has been widely wondered why ESUT (Enugu State University of Science & Technology) is yet to be part of this achievements. ESUT previously known to be non-partakers of ASUU strike, last year embarked on a six months strike that was as a result of combined action of both the internal crises and ASUU. Just recently after the school was re-opened, students were greeted with a slap of mischievous hike in their school fees (over N100,000 for returning students and above N140,000 for freshmen). It was gathered that the Governor insisted that the striking lecturers should increase the school fees as a means of raising their salaries since the state government does not have the stipend to meet their demands. This thus, puts the question: Does the governor really hates the institution? Please, lets crack it!
