The thing is the bible prohibits all sorts of things from lying and stealing to shaving the sides of your head or wearing 65% cotton, 35% polyester clothes. If you look through the old testament, there are all sorts of funny rules banning all sorts of things.

Christians deal with this by simply ignoring the laws they don't like. some people say that there is a new convenant and all the old testament rules no longer apply. Of course they conveniently forget this when discussing homosexuality or apostle Paul telling women to shut the Bleep up when in church.

My advice to you is to do like the born-agains do. Just ignore the parts of the bible you dont like. If you're straight, then condemn the homosexuals. If you have an afro, preach against those that barb Mike Tyson. If you're a homosexual, attack women who dont cover their hair in church. Christianity became a worldwide religion because it can be all things to all people.

Guys, be very careful in your comments and use of words. You may jokingly say somethings but watch the characters involved. Imagine someone here trying to make something out of The Lord Jesus and John.

Be-careful, many who tried it paid dearly for it, else you will cry when no one will be around to sympathise with you.

Now back to the topic, it is the height of depravity and sacrilege for such man-to-man or woman-to-woman relationship. God did not institute it and should not be practised anywhere whether in the church or in the community.

Homosexuality is forbidden in the holy scriptures both in the old and the new testament. This was the major sin that made God to bring instant judgement upon the cities of Sodom and Gomorraha (Gen 18:20; Gen 19:1-29; Jude vs 7; 1 Cor. 6:9-10). God rained down fire and brimestone upon those cities because of this imoral life style. God views homosexuality as great wickedness. If God did not spare those cities because of homosexuality, you can be sure that he will not spare anyone who engages in such acts of pervertion whether they be christians or non-christians, else He will have to apologize to the people of Sodom and Gomorrah for destroying them - U know God does not change. It is always advisable that we study the word of God and obey his commandments for this is the whole duty of man. Seeking advise from men of corrupt minds may lead us astray. Else after receiving advice from men, it is advisable that we check up from the bible to find out if such advice are in tandem with the holy scriptures. The word of God should be final in all matters that concerns our relationship with Him. The scripture says that the heart of man is deceitful and desperately wicked - who can know it. Because of this corruption and our desire to please ourselves, there is the tendency for us to interprete the word of God to suit our position. Except we repent and totally yield to the will of God, it will be very difficult for us to obey the word of God. Infact they will appear foolishness to the natural man (who is not born again). The natural man cannot please God because it is not subject to the law of God. We need to make up our minds whether we want to be children of God of not. We need to repent and surrender our lives and hearts to the Lord and let Him come and rule and reign in our lives. Its only when we invite Jesus Christ into our lives and make Him our Lord and Saviour, that is when He will come and be our Lord indeed. If we follow the opinions of men who are ignorant of the requirements of God, we will go astray. Let the word of God guide us, He cannot ask us to do what is impossible. Many people may choose to go the wrong way (contrary to the word of God) but that does not void the word of God and make it acceptable or to change His righteous standard. For those who desire to spend their eternity with the God of the bible, we should have at the back of our minds that God is too holy and heaven is too holy to admit anyone who lived in sin and died in sin. Rev 21:27 says that nothing that defileth shall enter there. God bless you.
