yinchar: It's not actually the percentage here, but the fact that companies already have to pay some percentage of their revenue for different stuff like Education, Industrial Training, Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund etc. And this is apart from their Tax. 1 Like |

yinchar: it is not a good bill,When the NYSC was created in 1973, three years after the end of the Nigerian civil war, its purpose was to mend the wounds of the war and to inculcate a spirit of nation-building. so who has been supplying the cows the eat ?who has the contract for the uniforms an boots, this money is going to come from a section of Nigeria with highly concentrated industries and services ,while the rest with no industries get appointed an get all the contracts. This programme should be abolished. |

All the country does is take, take and take without impact on the life of the ordinary man. More companies will close down at this rate of taxation. You pay VAT, withholding tax,NCD, NSITF, now they want to include NYSC as if companies are not paying corpers posted to their firms |

Companies are folding up and populating the labour market hence hiking crime rate and yet some Nigerians will be paid seating allowance to just plan how to plunder the economy further down the river. Double taxation everywhere yet the enabling environment for business to thrive that is supposed to be created by state is left vague. Who NYSC help? How relevant is this scheme in recent times? Why are these our leaders so lost in reality? These same people save their money in counties with 'tax heaven' and yet expect petty companies here to pay for their extravagances. No wonder these multinationals keep repatriating their funds. |

Government creating avenue for their friends to steal. Many firms are struggling to keep their heads above water while many are folding up due to failed leadership by federal government and the same government wants to force this firms to commit 1% of their fund to a useless programs like NYSC that it purpose has long been defeated. Nigeria is going through it worst leadership crisis in history. |
