I think he’s supposed to give you 6 months notice if your 1 year lease is up to date or so, but I suggest you first go and talk to him and try to settle with him. If however, he leaves you with no other option after trying to make peace, contact the legal aid counsel in your state and seek free legal advise from them. They offer legal services for free to Nigerians using tax payers money and I think they’re in every state in Nigeria

Landlord no know Lawyer or quit notice. Him go just go Ogbomoshor come back and you go dey sweat every night even inside AC. Better pack out or anything wey you see, make you take am like that.

It's still relevant. It serves as a notice to him of his landlord's disinterestedness of allowing his tenancy tocontinue. It comes before the proper quit notice and obviates any subsequent subterfuge on his part.

You are on point and that is where he has a defence. But if that letter has an acknowledgement copy and he acknowledged, lobaton. He cannot then escape it.

But the problem here is that the letter was written by one landlord association which I'm sure is an agbero association and that is not registered with the CAC and thus cannot be sued. I'm also sure that if they mean my guy, na him go run commot from the compound by himself. The compound ma na face me I slap you compound so wetin you expect. Na agberos dey run that type. So, if you no want wahala, try settle with ur landlord or wear ur pride like agbada and find another house. Some kind fights are not worth it

This is where tenants always fool themselves and always want to use that misguided knowledge to screw and frustrate their landlords. Then at the end ur tenancy expires after which ur landlord serves you 7 days quit notice from court then you as the tenant will fall on the ground laughing that the notice from court is a fake document and then they proceed and obtain default judgement against you and then you realise that you are not entitled to any 6 months notice (and as some foolish tenants trying to play wickedness always think that the 6 months is for free). And you also realise that the notices from court are not fake but indeed valid court documents
