By implication, the construction of a meter of the road, which is about the length of the leg of a 6foot tall man (for clarity) would cost a whooping 741,000 naira!!! Bear in mind the road has no bridges and has no more than two culverts on it.

Well all governors learnt this nonsense from Lagos state governors that have been doing 1 km at over 1billion naira for over 15 years now.. I can see Ortom is still far cheaper that Lagos state version in that his own road seems to have some intricate drainage system being built to support the road

That should be the first and only road constructed by Ortom in that state. Benue has really suffered. Ebonyi too used to be like that years ago. If the head is rotten everybody suffers.

...better than what obtains In Lagos, where a single km of road gets constructed for N1.2billion and N500million to sink just one borehole.

Does Benue and Lagos have thesame topography and soil structure? Lagos is a water prone area; do you know it takes more to construct in a water prone area than dry land. Do you even know it costs more to stabilize the soil before meaningful construction can take place on it? You people will just come here and open your mouth wah!

Yet u conveniently didn't see the one of 1.3km at ₦430million.
Commonsense should tell any person with a brain that there must be features in the other bridge that makes it costlier or the terrain is quite challenging.
Asides that, commonsense should again tell anyone with a functioning brain that if the goverment was set out to be brazenly corrupt in the project,it won't have had it posted for public consumption and perusal.
Finally,to show the government of Benue State is corrupt,as is your deluded intention, show comparative figures of the budget for construction of similar length of road by the FG and other APC run states.

Very stupid comment. Are you from Benue? Do you know anything about the location? I know the place like the back of my hand and there's nothing anywhere around that location that would male it cost that much.

The Facebook link to the SA's page where he gave the press release is there. Why dont you visit it and tell this idiotic crap t0 the Benue people enraged by this broad daylight grand theft?

Thunder fire any idiot that thinks Ikpeazu is bad but defends Ortom.

That's not what I'm saying I'm only replying those who think the construction rate in Lagos is overrated without looking critically at the prevailing soil structure of the place.
