PRESIDENTIAL VISIT: TRACE TRAFFIC ADVISORY..

His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, will embark on a One Day State Visit to Ogun State to inaugurate multiple landmark projects, executed by Governor Dapo Abiodun (MFR).

Against this backdrop, the newly reconstructed Abeokuta-Kobape-Siun-Sagamu Interchange will be closed to traffic from 0600hrs (6am) - 1600hrs (4pm), while the Ijebu/Ode-Mojoda-Epe Expressway, will be closed to traffic from 0600hrs (6am) - 1300hrs (1pm).

Similarly, adjoining/feeder highways from Siun-Iperu Remo and vice versa, as well as, Siun-Owode Egba-Ofada-Mowe Ibafo and vice versa along the Abeokuta-Kobape-Siun-Sagamu Interchange will also be closed to traffic.

However, while the closure lasts, the following alternative routes can be considered to and from Abeokuta and Ijebu-Ode depending on your entry point and destination:

*Abeokuta-Ifo-Sango-Iyana/Ipaja-Ikeja and vice versa
* Abeokuta-Ajebo Rd-Saapade-Sagamu and vice versa.
*Abeokuta-Osiele-Odeda-Ibadan and vice versa.
* Ijebu/Ode-Itoikin-Sagamu and vice versa.
* Sagamu-Ogijo-Ikorodu and vice versa.

Nevertheless, TRACE, FRSC, POLICE, VIO, NSCDC and other armed security agencies will be strategically positioned along the alternative routes to deter traffic infractions and ensure seamless traffic flow.

Nonetheless, any inconveniences this closure may cause the general public, particularly the motoring public, is highly regretted please.

Cdr. Babatunde Akinbiyi.

What kind of nonsense and hardship is this

Which of the death traps below can be used by the government themselves

"inbound Abeokuta are expected to use the Lagos-Sango/Abeokuta road and the Mowe-Ofada-Papalanto-Abeokuta "

Since all these years people have been shouting that these death traps should be fixed..no response, now you are directing the citizens to compulsorily use those death traps..

What a Country!!!

I have a fridge for sale if you are interested please quote me. It has a up and down compartment. The up is the fridge and down is the freezer. My reason for sale is because I got a new fridge and I need money to sort out things.
The fridge has little issues which can be fixed,you will have to put gas in it and then change the leg of the fridge and the handle
Features:
I)it freezes things fast
Ii)has a fine interior
III)the speed it use to freeze can be regulated

The road that will be closed is the road that will be commissioned. That is the Ijebu-Ode - Epe Road. That's why it has been closed.

This article was published in November 2020. The Ogun State Governor visited the site a few days ago and the video of the visit is somewhere online. This is one of the things that the President will commission today.

President Buhari To Commission 14 Kilometer Ijebu-Ode/Epe Road

President Muhammedu Buhari is expected to commission the ongoing 14kilometres Ijebu-Ode-Epe Road, when completed by the Ogun State Government, in the next couple of weeks

The State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya dropped the hint while conducting members of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) as well as the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria, (COREN), round the road project ,

According to him, the road has already been fitted with security posts, street lights, toll points at both ends and other road furniture

The Commissioner stated further that a flyover which would aid free vehicular movement into Ijebu-Ode is almost completed likewise the Gateway Citygate and monument located at the Sagamu-Papalanto/Abeokuta Interchange, which he said would give travellers and visitors a beautiful sight to behold, as they make their way to the State Capital and other parts of the State.

Speaking further on the Citygate facility, Engr. Akinsanya said plans were in top gear to construct a Police station, offices for other agencies including TRACE, State Emergency Ambulance Service, as well as other enforcement and response agencies in the premises

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) as well as the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria, (COREN) commended the Governor Dapo Abiodun's administration for the various road projects going on simultaneously across the State.

Speaking at the site of the newly constructed 14 Kilometer Ijebu-Ode/Epe Road during the inspection tour to some of the road projects, the former State Chairman of the NSE, Engr. Ahmed Apampa hailed the governor for turning the State into the industrial destination of choice.

"we have no doubt that this will contribute to a very great extent to the economic development of our dear State, in fact, the governor has done beautifully well in turning the State to economic hub of the country, especially through infrastructural development",he lauded

Engr. Apampa urged the governor not to relent on his oars but expedite actions on the completion of all the ongoing projects including those inherited from the previous administration.

Also speaking the COREN Boss, Engr. Mutiu Odesanya eulogized the governor for not compromising quality in all the projects embarked upon by his administration, calling for constant maintenance of infrastructure in the State.
