I dislike Nigeria Customs officers so much! Most of them are incredibly arrogant, criminal minded and have thuggish behaviour.

No sane person separates two deadly thieves over a battle known to dem...

My candid opinion is that the superior thief should ensure to kill the other to gain more ground...

The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) have clashed on Twitter. The clash was caused by an allegation by FAAN that customs officers in the entourage of the Customs Area Comptroller for Hajj and Cargo Terminal forcefully opened a gate and accessed a restricted area. FAAN also alleges that the armed escorts of the comptroller threatened to beat aviation security officials that were manning the gate at the time of the incident. See pictures 1 and 2 below.

Custom no get sense. Na their controller be smuggler. A gate that is electronically controlled with etags and electronic tickets they forcefully gained entrance. Very uncivilized and corrupt people. I use that gate every day with my purchased etag on my car and the gate opens automatically for me.

FAAN has superior jurisdiction over the airport, accusing FAAN of using the restricted area for aiding smugglers is also very puerile, when in fact the Customs team were only using the gate to ferry their boss and not on any operation. And by the way, we all know who aids smugglers the most in Nigeria.

The NCS wouldn't take that from SON at the port for instance.

Knowledge is key, any international airport, the world over is Customs Airport, if only faan knows.

This is the very angle I've been seeing this thing from.... The so called customs oga might just be the real smuggler here....if FAAN wants to fight this they need to lisseveuth EFCC/ICOC to monitor the accounts of these two individuals just for fee months after this trip..

Despite that...the area was said to be restricted.... and even if customs shdn't be restricted from entry... veering off to enter the gate from behind a vehicle under inspection is reeks of coverup.... A single explanation or calm toned memo to the relevant unit heads would have salvaged this open show of shame
