dapolaw: Yes sure bt not against a system “constructed intentionally” to keep u down so their favored one can flourish. There is no politic to defeat that until the system is corrected by those who built or manage it. |

JavaScript90:They transport the crude from the coast, a business man thinks of security, stability, where he will do his business in peace, Lagos provides that...you want them to go to where ipob and cannibals will frustrate them? No one wants to site business in a region of tribalist...let an Igbo man site a refinery in Biafra land |

Anoh Gas project is an SPV project between NNPC (55%) and Seplat (45%). Yes, sighted in Imo state, but Shell has not stake in it. Imo is an oil producing state, but not a major one as you stated. Just for knowledge sharing. JavaScript90: |

jaxxy:Monopoly includes solely 1 party, dangote is not the only producing the goods he produces, there are others in the different sector he has an investment . Like i saide the other ones should seek for favour from the govt, like Dangote, Govt won't come to your door step and start planning how you will grow for you, you will go their present them with your plans, just like innoson did. One major factor that helped dangote was not the fact that he was favoured for tribe then or any other purpose , it was because hr was local and most businesses in Nigeria when he started were foreign owned. Even BUA has his own govt backing. You can't call it unfair if dangote cannot make him stop producing, it simply competition, having influence And getting favour and dangote is having the upper hand. He is simply better than the rest in entrepreneurship Its not even resonable for the country to destabilize his business in the name of making others grow. |

marsman: U are not being completely honest and u know it. Monopoly doesn’t necessarily mean only bt one dominated sector and not by market forces bt government regulation and incentives. That’s dangote. Bua luckily oo had government backing. What if he didn’t he is toast and u will say dangote is a superb businessman? Lol no I know what business and capitalism is and it’s not that. I respect only respect dangote for maintaining his monopoly relationship with different governments over the years some people fall out of favor. And he has also built well from the leverage bt pls it is monopoly. I also accept when he started he was among the few local brands bt there were others trying to come up he wasn’t the only one pls. |

ryloy:Why I agree with you but you forgot to add the cost of cargo and security plus insurance, this was what killed the govt initiative of sending money direct to once account via agents' got to add these cost at some point. The Oil in the ND is being export refined and re-sold to us in the name of subsidy regime by greedy people in ABJ and you think all is well ,Im praying this is not one of their new opening aka outlet. Nigerians have modular stuff like these off sore but all coded, if you are in doubt you can ask me how |

Not true! More than 2 million Americans live less than 1 mile to a refinery. Dangote refinery is sited many miles away from where people live. We really must commend the project stakeholders in the carefully planned (conscientious) project. Let's try and be positive in this country. This refinery benefits us all. Dangote will not live forever, but he will leave a legacy that generations to come will benefit from. franchasng: 1 Like |

PrincessDiana:If you visit any American or UK hospital, you will marvel at the names of sicknesses and diseases being diagnosed. I haven't been to US but I have lots of close childhood friends and classmates plus relatives working in different health facilities as Doctors, Nurses, Lab Scientists, etc. Many Americans live with terminal illnesses and diseases for decades, many have cancer and its seen as nothing. lung cancer, different versions of cancer and if you see them you wont know until you see their medical history. The only thing sustaining them is their exceptional healthcare system that have the capacity to handle and manage any sickness or disease, whether the patient is rich or poor so long as he or she is a citizen. That's why they consume GMO foods without much worries too. Nigeria and West Africa don't have such competent healthcare system that can manage such ailments when they arise. As a nation gets more heavily industrialized, they invest hugely in healthcare and environmental protection and management to curtail the resultant negative effects of the industrialization. I am a trained Engineer with years of experience. I have undergone several environmental health, and safety traininga and gotten certifications, so I know what I am telling you. I am not hating on Dangote, he is so way above my level for me to be hating on him even though I dont accord him much respect I accord to seasoned entrepreneurs who started from scratch and rose to riches without government assistance which Dangote enjoyed for decades now and part of what made him who he is. |
