*HUMANITARIAN NEWS: High Chief Engr Johnbosco Onunkwo Donates Centre For Skills Acquisition and Training To Persons Living with Sickle Cell Disorder.*

As Part of His efforts targeted at Alleviating Povery and Empowering Youths in Anambra and South East, the Founder and CEO of Johnbosco Onunkwo Foundation, High Chief Engr Johnbosco Onunkwo today donated well equipped Skill Acquisition, Training And Development Centre to Association of Person Living With Sickle Cell Order in the State.

The handing over ceremony of the Centre began with an opening prayer by Rev. Fr. Tochukwu Arinze who represented the Bishop of Awka Catholic Diocese, Bishop Paulinus Ezeokafor.

In Her Welcome address, The National Cordinator of Association of Persons living with Sickle Cell Disorder, Mrs Aisha Edwards, thanked High Chief Engr Johnbosco Onunkwo for always being there for them. She described him as a pillar of support who does not fail to come to their rescue when it mattered most.

She stated that there was need for people living with sickle cell disorder to continue to earn a living for themselves and make themselves self-reliant and the need for the people living with Sickle Cell disorder to be economically empowered in order to earn and Carter for themselves.

She remarked that the APLSCD is indebted to Engr. Johnbosco Onunkwo for empowering the association with this skill acquisition centre which will empower members of the association and make them self-reliant.

In his own Remark, while commissioning the skill acquisition, Training and Development centre, Engr. Johnbosco Onunkwo said Today marks another very Important Epoch making event, a very positive historical development in his life and the life of the people living with Sickle Cell Disorder in our Society.

Engr. Johnbosco Onunkwo maintained that the APLSCD are his children and that whenever they call on him, he would answer. He promised to do more for the APLSCD and provide every necessary support they would need to live and survive.

High Chief Engr Johnbosco Onunkwo opined that this Centre will help in training persons living with Sickle Cell Disorder to be self Reliant and earn a living for themselves. He maintained that what He is doing here today is not Politics, but his covenant with his God to be of blessing to Humanity. “As God has blessed me, I will continue to be of blessing to others, most especially those who are in need of our help.”

I provided this Centre believing it will be used for the training our Brothers and Sisters living with Sickle Cell Disorder. The Skill Acquisition Centre is aimed at Empowering them.

Highlights of the Event is the opening and handing over of the Centre to National Coordinator of APLWSC, Mrs Aisha Edward and cutting of Cake with Members of the Association and presentation of Sienna Car donated to the Group by Engr Johnbosco Onunkwo. The Skill acquisition, Training and Development Centre comprises four sectors which include Tailoring Sector, Hair Dressing Sector, Barbing Sector and Bakery Sector. Members of this Group will be undergoing Training on these four sectors at the Centre.

High Chief Engr Johnbosco Onunkwo later took a tour of the Facility of the Association and promise to provide them with AIr Conditioner, Gas Cylinder for their Bakery section etc.
