Do you hear yourself, the same Russia took Crimea, Ukraine territory without provocation. Russia supported the separatists who constantly fire missiles into Ukraine. Will you make a deal with such a country if it were you? Mind you this happens to Georgia also before they joined NATO. US don't invade their allies neither will NATO

Well, that is one way of viewing it. But on the sanctions, I beg to differ. Russia has enough non-military sanctions that would frustrate Ukraine membership of NATO, measures also used by US during the Cuban missile crisis...

Also, Putin in his recent statements has been making references to NATO moving further back from the Eastern front... what does it mean for countries like Latvia, Estonia etc, who are already NATO members? Will Russia also invade those countries because it does not want NATO at its borders?
