UNEMPLOYMENT RATE OF OIL PRODUCING STATES, 2020

More than half of Imo state population (56.6%) are unemployed according to NBS.

Akwa Ibom state followed with 54.9% and Abia state with 50.1%

All the states mentioned above have more than half of their population unemployed

POVERTY RATE OF OIL PRODUCING STATES, 2020

Abia state has the highest rate of poverty among the oil producing state with poverty rate of 30.7%

Imo state in second place with 28.9%, Akwa Ibom, Rivers and Bayelsa all have above 20% poverty rate.

The oil producing states in the South South needs to do far better than this

I wish there is a bill that will states 13% should go to the oil producing communities or LG
