Recent rumors that the government is having difficulty paying its employees' salaries sparked a social media frenzy. A German-based Ghanaian who is a member of the 'fix the country' movement revealed today in a live video on Facebook that the government has been unable to pay February salaries as of today.
He expressed his dissatisfaction with the government as he discussed the forthcoming independence day celebrations on March 6th. According to him, the anticipated amount of money needed to celebrate the country's independence day is sufficient to operate the country's affairs; nevertheless, the government would seek a large loan to settle its workers later.
