This one na just news na, what power does IGP has to order implementation of new salary? The government has made the police what it is today. Government has announced new salary structure for the police countless times since Buhari government came on board but none of this has been implemented.
Why promise what you can't keep.

I personally appreciate the Nigerian Police Authorities for listening and acting to avert the rumored police strike. The Authorities should also use the opportunity to provide all that the police personnel need to perform their duties effectively.

There must be equity in the salary structure of the police, you can't be paying a CP N3.5million a year salary, and paying a Sergeant Less than N800,000 (eight hundred thousand nair, the disparity is too much, this is inequality, injustice. Police force is a public service, it must have the spirit of public good.
