The two countries on track to make the biggest population gains are Nigeria and Ethiopia. Nigeria currently boasts 166 million people, but by 2050 its population is expected jump to 402 million. Family planning. Quit having 14 kids when you can theoretically only take care of 2 at best. Unless we are able to harness our available resources at maximum potential gonna be a big problem |

as fragmented as the nation is, that would be a hard thing to follow natiowide, issue is what tools are we putting on grounds now for the next generation? its very possible that oil might begin to run out by then, just imagine what might happen, we dont have water supply for the present 166, neither do we have electricity or roads, for the present 166 million nigerians, even at 250 million self me don dey fear |

on the bright side 40 years' long and it's short. . over 400million could mean very cheap labour i.e more companies coming to naija and our own domestic market booming. .it's a 50/50 chance if our government improve b4 then that's great for us if not. . .i'm afraid that doom, so it's boom or doom |

Reducing birth rate in nigeria would never happen,with the mentality majority have that "children come from God" ha, the best bet would be for govt to harness other of our numerous resources that will take care of the millions coming. |

i wont be surprised, Naija has one of the most porous imigration systems & boarders, it costs less than N20k bribe to get a Naija passport be u from Cotonou, ghana, Mali. u can even come in free with your family by bush track from Chad. and guess what the custom officers are the ones to facilitate it, how wont we quadriple in size? Many people in Naija 2day were never originally from Naija |
