There's nothing wrong in importing chocolates. What's wrong is when a country does not export much. Nigerian exports needs to grow fast, perhaps at 10-20% yearly compounding rate for the next 10 years.

Well ,you analyse very well ,but balance of trade cannot be skewed ,we need producitivity to gow the economy,you cant extract only resources without adding value to them.i was expecting you to write about pratical issues like modular refineries ,legalizing them and trainning them ,You are still talking about imports of the product to compete with a known a doyen of monopoly in Nigeria.we still have not developed our Gas ,petrochemicals ,all by products of crude.can you compare saudi aramco with NNPC.NNPC that has never made profit before .
