A Federal High Court in Abuja has sacked 20 members of the Cross River State House of Assembly for defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC). https://lm.?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.channelstv.com%2F2022%2F03%2F21%2Fcourt-sacks-20-cross-river-lawmakers-for-defecting-to-apc%2F&h=AT2mAU_KufWNYJWQ9tuowtiiuR9-j-jwiAyCf5aUTBLHZulYakYvqEBe4J3DDaST8B66eTjYbjtK1RyqiYKxopMaTp_vHH3Em3DkYmlrkROQpBq2xB7d8xFfcOS5LyS0KDM 19 Likes 1 Share

SyrusdeHansome:Impressive to see this coming from the opposition. Today, the emphasis on the rule of law is replicated by the administration of Our Darling Daddy. From the onset, Dad left no Nigerian in doubt about his avowal to run a Government of Nigeria premised on the words and letters of the rule of law. Our Darling Daddy, like the retired Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of America, Justice Sonia Sotomayor clearly discerned and firmly believed, in the rule of law as the foundation for all of our basic rights.” He has been a stickler to this dictum in his leadership of Nigeria. This mindset pulsated Baba’s advocacy and declaration in his inaugural day speech May 29, 2015 that; “The Federal Executive under my watch will not seek to encroach on the duties and functions of the Legislative and Judicial arms of government. (We remembered this like yesterday!) There is no gainsaying, Our President has walked his talk on the “Rule of Law” mantra, in his ober seven years reign in Nigeria’s Aso Rock, the seat of power. Unlike his predecessors, Nigerians have experienced Mr. President’s due recognition and observance of the constitutional independence of the other arms of government in a democracy. His sermons are always centered on the non-interference with the operations and rights of other arms government as enshrined in the Constitution of Nigeria. That’s why he does not wear the toga of President and leader of his Party. 4 Likes 9 Shares

When Justice Inyang Ekwo delivered the groundbreaking judgment against HE David Umahi, some set of bastard slowpoke BMC miscreants and TMC urchins who reason with their anus came and masturbated all over the place saying the judge was pro-PDP. Fast forward to yesterday, Justice Taiwo Taiwo also delivered the judgment against the Cross Rivers APC state lawmakers, the same BMC miscreants and TMC urchins are also trying to shift Goal post. The time to use a political party as a transit-vehicle to power only to be abandoned is past. Power truly resides with the people. 35 Likes 1 Share |

Way to go Justice Taiwo! We sure need more incorruptible judges as yourself in our Judiciary that the APC has almost totally bastardized. Big win! 19 Likes 1 Share |

One thing I don't like about law as a profession is that, it lacks principles. Mike ozekhome can be seen in court today, defending apc members for a particular issue and tomorrow, he'd be in court defending PDP members in another court, for the same issue. 21 Likes |

Sanity is gradually returning. How on Earth will a political party sponsor your election, campaign, mobilize and canvass votes then you transfer the mandate to another political Party. It's insane. If this kind of judgement is maintained, our politicians will not be doing anyhow. 12 Likes |

Everyone has always known this to be the truth.you campaign on the manifesto of a parry, which for instance could promise more schools. People on this basis of these manifesto voted you in Suddenly you change the whole thing and decamp to another party which may have a manifesto that promised more guns. It is entirely feasible that the electors never would have sided with such manifesto but you single handedly forced them to be governed under this manifesto 15 Likes |
