They tried. It is amazing that people can put so much effort in the wrong priorities. Infrastructures such as Road, Railways and Airports are good. But given the scarce economic resources, fixing power and our refineries(building a new one perhaps) would have ensured that our economy is not moribund.

They campaigned that N216 to the dollar is not good.
They said fuel at N87 per litre is not good
They said they will fix power in 6 months
And they will create a million new jobs yearly.
Thats aside promises to improve security and fight corruption...

Our transportation infrastructure were manageable while we focus resources on power and refining. The benefits from those two sectors would have built us wonderful infrastructure later.

Over 70bn USD was invested in african oil sector over the last 10 years. Nigeria only got 4bn USD. IOCs are pulling out frantically. This means nigeria is not an investment destination anymore. Ease of doing business is worse off and jobs are been lost in thousands

Imagine naira is still N216 to the dollar, that means oil imports will cost just a third of its present price.
Infact, every imported material will cost less. Now banks are limiting us to usd20 on our cards per month.
