1. As long as it takes, and very importantly WITH FAITH, to get confirmation in the spirit or physically see the desired result!
2.  Praying according to God's will, WITH FAITH! Being right with God is an important factor here.

faith(which is different in meaning to believing)

heart felt desire for your prayer request to be answerd(ur desire for an answer from God must be very strong not week willed, am sure uve seen people praying and sweating earnestly)

pray the right words not repetition of vain words( a careful look at prayers from Jesus Christ and prophets in the bible dipict, the right mixture of wrd which in my own words , is a mixture of thanks giving and gratitutude to GOD first, irrespective of the situation, ur request, and joy+ faith =(which is believing that your request has been answered.(if u read some of the psalms by david even the very painful ones, after each prayer, he starts rejoicing!!!)

i doubt if time is a factor! i stand to be correct ted though.


what makes a prayer effective? the power made available when u pray,

when u prayer , God answers (the bible says wisdom is the principle thing) it takes the spirit of wisdom,knowledge + FAITH, for a prayer to be effective,

take the case of the woman with the issue of blood, she knew something no one else in her community knew,which of course is divine knowledge or wisdom or revelation from God,so she decided in her mind and settled it that if only she can touch His garment(faith), so she hussled her self and touched Jesus WITH A PURPOSE, (remember that various people were touching Jesus, but had nothing in mind, but she had power of faith within her self) thats why a pastor will pray for some people , some will receive miracles and some dont,(power is made available for all when they pray, but your faith is need to contact the power)
God alwyas answers but humans are confused as to how to receive!

A fervent prayer is a prayer that takes the whole of you, your concentration. Your heart is in it. Then also with the power of Gods spirit. It is a prayer of inner zeal. Some people pray religiously, some others pray absrnt mindedly.
The word FERVENT Actually refers to something firery. Fire, burning zeal.

The continous heartfelt faith filled prayer is a fervent prayer

A prayer is fervent when your focus is in it i.e you are praying with all of you been involved(your spirit,heart and soul) in the prayer without distractions and with faith knowing that when you pray,God hears you always.There will be a note of witness in your spirit cos its heart felt.

James 5:17 , Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain; and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
