This one that bandits can see coming a mile away won't work.

If I were the IGP I'd set up a squad of 100 Swat undercover cops in teams of 10 each, and dressed in mufti and driving unmarked buses, lorrys, etc to patrol the expressway, driving in each direction at different times of the day, and with communications gadgets to call for back up via helicopter if needed. Or backed up by drones that can stay in the air for 24hrs at a time. These will be top cops with jungle survival skills. Cops that aim and don't miss. Cops that will not just chase bandits away if they come across them on the road, but actively pursue till caught and killed.

I'd further motivate them with N1m per kill.

Nigerians too need to grow up. Stop thinking in small ethnic circles that restrict your ability to grasp the bigger picture. All of Nigeria belongs to you. The train line to Niger Republic will affect all of you not just the North. Stop it from being built today, link up as much of Nigeria by rail first.

It is a " mysterious" development,that you see military checkpoints every Pole in the South-East and South-South regions,but you hardly see a military checkpoint along Abuja-Kaduna expressway.
