Don’t be deceived bro. The south is playing into the hands of the north. If PDP wins with atiku, when it’s time for them to consider a southern candidate, it would shock you how they will revive APC and field a northerner to take back power. If you are ready for this endless cycle, then congratulations.

Then the cycle continues perpetually. People from the south who are celebrating it don’t see the long term danger of this strategy.

While your fears is a possibility, this is a gamble that can be a 2-edged sword. Either they win or they lose. Don't forget that OBJ won re-election in 2003 running against then Buhari as a candidate and Jonathan also won against Buhari in 2011.

APC only needs to present a candidate acceptable to most people. APC has a strong following in the North so with Pres Buhari and a host of other popular figures, I don't see PDP winning with a northern candidate. There's a high chance that most Southern votes will go to the APC and the northern votes can be split almost evenly.

This will be interesting to watch, though.

With the Likes of Atiku in the race, it’s not likely that PDP will zone the presidency to south alone.

I know APC urchins are waiting for PDP to zone south so that a weak candidate can get the ticket and make victory easy for them but they have failed.

Atiku is getting the ticket again.

Atiku/Obi2023 is a goal.

I thought you guys are shouting Obi Pandora and now you are saying their is no strong candidate from the south that can defeat APC. Hahaha

Good move, opposition party without power can't be talking about zoning. It will breed distraction and create room for rancor.

The way has been paved for the emergence of Atiku as PDP presidential candidate!

If Atiku emerges PDP presidential candidate, he is most likely to win the presidential election because of the skewed and lopsided political structure of Nigeria created by northern Nigeria through its soldiers.

With Atiku succeding president Buhari, be ready to kiss bye to one Nigeria.

The skewed and lopsided political structure necessitated rotation of the presidency between the north and the south.

Way to go. It's funny how some people here keep shouting Peter Obi. Peter Obi can't win presidential election in present day Nigeria. He won't get 15% of the votes. The whole south east votes is not up to 10% in a General Election. So, Where do you expect him to get the remaining votes from? The block of the votes in a General election comes from the north, the north can not vote for an igbo man... no thanks to Nnamdi kanu, Buhari and ohaneze.
Nnamdi KANU loving his people is not a crime... Slavery just to get the presidency is fatal.

The exact strategy Mr. Tinubu applied that earned the " The Master Strategist" title.

Las Las na we south go loose out.

The Igbos have put so much into PDP that had Mr. Goodluck won in 2015 a northerner would have taken up the mantle in 2019 and by 2027 an Igboman would emerge the flag bearer of PDP and subsequently the President but Mr. Master strategist put forward a northerner against a southerner.

2023 is payback time. PDP will put forward a northerner and let APC do mistake by putting a southerner forward then by 12pm on election day the Northerner will be declared winner by INEC.

It feels so bad to be a southerner swears!
Na ur type dey make all dis abokis dey feel say dem get population like DAT. If a Yoruba man is on the ballot, NC states like Kwara, kogi, Benue, plateau will be locked down for him. These are states people call northern states. States that normally vote them are the 12 sharia states. Taraba will never vote dem, Remember Adamawa and nasarawa has high Christian population. A Yemi Osinbajo will trounce Atiku b4 12 on election day. Christian population in naija no be moi moi

So you really believe that PDP too was actually ever a party any more than APC is? If anything, the PDP is more of a marriage of hurriedly assembled strange bedfellows who were brought together by the need for the Militaristic Northern Oligarchy to continue its stranglehold on power in a post military rule era through an obvious Southern stooge of theirs in 1999. If the founding of PDP was genuinely about a new Nigeria for all Nigerians, then how come a villain like IBB who legalized corruption, annuled the freest and fairest election in the history of Nigeria, ran the most profligate administration which saw the Dollar rise against the Naira by a whooping 1800% just within 8 years, etc was the key founding member and the most influential member of it to the extent of recycling an expired ex-convict Obasanjo who had already once ruled and failed the country so woefully that they had to start whitewashing him with tales of his becoming a born again Christian, a detribalized patriot,
a case of from prison to grace like Mandela, etc. Do you need to whitewash a candidate who actually has sweet smelling antecedents, principles, genuine commitment to nation building and other qualities which should be obvious ordinarily even to the most politically unaware citizen?

North is about to teach disunited South another political lesson of how foolish an average Southerner is politically. As they are about to end their 8 years regime in APC, they have created an opportunity for their people in PDP to run and win presidency in PDP while throwing the APC ticket to South for a candidate they will never support to contest against a Northern candidate of PDP.
You will soon see how Northern elements in APC will defect en mass to PDP once one of their own clinch the PDP ticket.

The issue of 2015 had nothing to do with any Fulani slavery. Jonathan had broken the zoning arrangement by usurping the North's remaining 6 years of Yaradua and it wasn't going to augur well for the justice and equity which some sections of the South now talk about because the table has turned against them. So 2015 was all about righting a wrong caused by Jonathan's insistence of continuing with his thwarting of the zoning arrangement. If it was morally wrong for a section of the South to have supported the North back to power in 2015, then why are those who so opine now asking for zoning of presidency to the South? Had it been a case whereby Yaradua lived long enough to complete his 8 years on behalf of the North and a section of the South then worked with the North to have another Northerner succeed him thus denying the South of its actually and rightful turn based on the zoning as agreed ab initio, then this accusation of some section of the South working with Northerners to remove a "fellow" Southerner would have been morally valid.
You can't be using a stolen property and when your brother takes it away from you and hands it back to the actual owner, you begin to accuse him of being a teacherous brother. If that is treachery in your eyes, then your sense of honesty and moral propriety has to be questioned.

All thanks to Tinibu, for the long term danger of this strategy as you said. The role he played in 2015 is the cause of all these drama.

The role he's playing now is even fuelling it. If APC had micro zoned to the South East PDP would have done the same, but an individuals life long ambition had thrown all that to the trash can.

Bro GEJ did won traditional PDP states in the North, these states are mainly Christians(north central). Buhari's 12 million votes has always been there. If Atiku emerge as PDP presidential candidate which is most likely, for sure he will still remain Obi as VP, the north will change side if APC gives it to Tinibu. The highest mistake Tinibu has made in his political career is steering enmity with other southern regions. He should have courted south east and south south after 2015, but he put all his trust in the North, with the hope that they will deliver him.
