Airbus Urged Western Countries Not To Impose An Embargo On Russian Titanium, by bn365: 5:52am On Apr 13, 2022
The aircraft manufacturer Airbus urged Western countries not to impose an embargo on Russian titanium, since such restrictions would result in significant damage to Western industry, and the Russian economy would be slightly affected, writes Reuters .

The company's chief executive, Guillaume Faury, said at a shareholders' meeting that he considered the ban on titanium imports "unacceptable." The company began to look for alternative sources of titanium supplies, and short- and medium-term needs are covered thanks to the accumulated reserves. Airbus is currently acquiring 60% of the titanium used in aircraft construction in Russia.

Now titanium is not subject to anti-Russian sanctions. However, Boeing already announced last month that it was phasing out this Russian raw material.

All I am saying is, the western countries should ban themselves from breathing oxygen since Russia also breaths it. Besides, its only 21%.

China's top offshore oil and gas producer CNOOC Ltd. is preparing to exit its operations in Britain, Canada and the United States, because of concerns in Beijing the assets could become subject to Western sanctions, industry sources said.
