Can Nigeria Become a Developed Country?

I have always pondered on the above question. How can we become more united? How can we progress and be better than we currently are? We have been at this battle since 1960. That is almost 62 years ago!
Nigeria has been having problems since independence, from coups to resources exploitation to tribalistic and religious bigotry and we shouldn't forget CORRUPTION! Our economy is not performing as a giant of Africa should. Our security is nothing to write home about. The citizens sprinkled religious and tribal sentiments on most of their discussions, especially on online forums and spaces. Our electricity and roads are nothing to write home about. We still practice jungle justice in the 21st century!
Our leaders are not the only problem, we the citizens are part of the problem too. We digest whatever our leaders tell us without doing any research. We should always be wary of whatever we are told because most of our leaders are mostly concerned with their narrow-minded agendas. We should be more empathetic towards our fellow citizens. Don't vote people because of party loyalty, vote because of what you believe the candidate can do when he gets to the position. Don't vote because of tribe, vote because of the personality and the achievements of your preferred candidate. We can make Nigeria a developed and civilized country starting from the grassroots. A revolution starts from the grassroots! A revolution doesn't need to be violent but it needs to involve changes in the mindset and attitude of the citizenry.
As citizens,we must love our country and we must demand accountability from our leaders. They owe that to us. We must demand improved economic status and improved security from our leaders. As a good leader, you need to be transparent towards your followers, you need to be accountable and you need to improve the economic status of your people. The election will soon be upon us,let's vote wisely.
I believe Nigeria can still become a developed country. All the required efforts mostly fall on us, the citizens. Our leaders also need to change their attitudes and shouldn't be going to the position of power with the intention of filling their pockets with government's fund. They should have the common man's interest at heart. They should watch and learn from developed countries around the world. We will get there when we all put in the required efforts.

Nigeria has everything it takes to be a developed country......

We need to restructure this country...

We need to look into the laws and promote private sectors...

Scrap state of origin away.....

This state of origin is the reason why we are having tribal war and sentiments that becloud our sense of judgement..

We give full autonomy to states and local government to generate funds internally.... Many people will return to their village where they have lands and begin to develop them and explore local crafts and bring them to cities to sell ..

Infact, Nigeria is this way because the judiciary section of this country is biased and corrupt...

May the almighty God safe us....

If Nigerians stop multiplying like pigs and restrict themselves to 3 kids and stop being more Christian than Romans or more Muslim than Saudis .

Well there might be a chance

Absolutely yes!it will be possible when the people are able elect a person with the political will for true change!we might not have had it smooth since independence, nonetheless,no nation ever really has it easy.

You think it is by election that bring change

Election is for 4 years and if you are lucky 8 years, during that period, you cant bring change because of the constant changes in idea and policies by different governments.

It takes about 20 to 30 years to develop a country and to be sincere, a system of election cant make that happen

Honest opinion.
A bitter truth.

"Nigeria" as a nation can't be a develop Nation......but individual nations within Nigeria can become a develop natio if given the opportunity.

The patriotism comes from within (a true description of an average Nigerian)

So you think Nigeria can't be united in spite of our tribalistic disposition?

Yes it will evolve into some kind of smart city examples are Rwanda a country that is developing but not full yet.

Globalist plan to make Nigeria the next Rwanda...but first they will get rid of 80% of Nigeria population .. Rwanda style.

The point is population is not our problem.

Our problem is the mentality of the citizens.

If we stop putting personal gains above the country's survival, then we might get somewhere

That's a matter of opinion actually and even the countries you mentioned are already perfecting plans to drastically reduce their populations. What do you think Joe Biden and Putin are doing ?

Those who say they're in charge of the planet say the Earth is more precious than any other resource around, including human resources.
They blame humans for degrading the earth with idealogy like Global warming etc.

They want to depopulate all countries.
Why do you think Russian TV announced the start of world war 3 ?

They can't wait.

USA of 2010 is not same USA today.
This is a satanic time table here...not a normal government. Forget about the past.

They did that because many of their doctors died, resigned or boycotted the job due to the pandemic and vaccine mandates.
