This parable reveals so many things;

It reveals that hell as a place of torment is real. If it's not real, our Lord Jesus will not make an illustration with it.

It reveals that souls are conscious after death.

It reveals that your memory is intact. The rich man remembered Lazarus. He saw him. He cried for help just for a drop of water.

He even remembered he had five brothers on earth and wanted someone to rise to tell them to repent so they won't come there.

Abraham told him that even if someone rise, they will not believe. And it is happening today. So many have gone to hell and come back by the mercies of God, so many still don't believe.

Our Lord Jesus even described other things that happens in hell. Read what he said;

The worms on earth dies. So he couldn't have been talking about a place on earth even though he used Gehenna to describe hell but he wasn't talking about the Gehenna in Israel. As at the time Jesus made this statement, there was no literal fire anymore in the valley of Henon.

Ecclesiastes you are quoting cannot be a reliable authority on this subject. The men of old had limited knowledge. Some of the things they said were not true.

For instance, Job said so many things during his trying period and some of them were not true. God himself rebuked Job for speaking words without knowledge;

The question is what we God raise, since nothing survive at the death?

For God to raise people who died 2000 years ago means something is left in them for that to happen, if not what will happen is recreation not resurrection. Resurrection is to raise what DIED not WHAT IS NOT IN EXISTENCE.
